"Once Upon an Era"

*sigh* an era that can only exist through imagination and music. I long to go there.

This is going to be an entry for AIA "Imagination Contest"

I wanted to dedicate this piece to

because of all the help she is to people on Deviant Art. I don't know her personally but I find myself in love with her stocks and she has such flexibility with it. She is a great photomanipulator and is of great help to everyone in the DA community. So..this is my thanks back to her for using all her stocks.

I hope if she views this that she likes it.

The landscape was made by night-fate in Mojoworld3 which is the type of software I have been wanting to get for a long while but I haven't had the cash to do so. I am hoping to either get Mojoworld 3 or Vue 7 since I am approved for student discounts so I can get them relatively cheap. Her landscape render was perfect for what I was looking for since I can't render my own right now.

I really love this piece even though it has it's flaws. I am still new to this and I am hoping to get a tablet soon. I am looking forward to being able to paint my own details since I haven't been able to put my drawing abilities to use lately.

I took the title from the band "Waylander". I love their epic folk metal music and I had the listen be another song "sunrise" that was a lot calmer. I find myself listening to Waylander and Fairyland again so I guess my artworks are drifting to a different mood. I am really digging Fairylands album "Score to a New Beginning". So if you have the chance, it would be awesome to listen to "At the Gates of Morken" and "Godsent". I hope you all enjoy this.
